A dental implant is a titanium post that functions just like a tooth root and is used to replace a missing tooth. Crowns, bridges or dentures can be secured to implants to restore your smile and chewing power.
Implants have many advantages over other tooth replacement options. They look, act and feel just like natural teeth, providing you with full chewing power so you can eat the foods you like and enjoy their nutritional benefits. They help prevent bone loss in your jaw, and with proper care your implants can last a lifetime.
Even nervous or fearful patients can receive implants comfortably. Dr. Warren has received specialized training in different methods of sedation, including IV sedation, enabling him to provide low-stress implant dentistry for every patient. In most cases, he is able to provide full-service implant treatment in-house, including placement of the implant posts.
Dr. Warren’s training and experience make it possible for him to provide you with comprehensive implant options all under one roof. He will see you through every step of the process, from your initial consultation and diagnostics to creating and placing your final restorations.
Dr. Warren will use our state-of-the-art CT 3D scanner for the thorough diagnostics required to create your detailed treatment plan. The 3D images allow Dr. Warren to meticulously plan out the location and angle of your implants, which makes their placement accurate and efficient.

Our state-of-the-art 3D cone beam CT scanner will provide detailed 360-degree images of your mouth and jaws.
Dr. Warren uses our state-of-the-art 3D cone beam CT scanner to get a detailed view of your teeth, mouth and entire jaw area. The 3D scans will provide the doctor with 360-degree images that can be viewed from any angle and show both the hard and soft tissues in your mouth.
Dr. Warren will use your 3D CT scan to carefully plan the position and angle of your implants, taking advantage of areas of dense and voluminous bone that will provide support for your implants. The 3D images also help him determine which implant size and shape will best suit your circumstances. These preparations will ensure that your implant placement is efficient and comfortable.
Dr. Warren will precisely map out the placement of your implants using advanced 3D implant planning software.
If you still have teeth that need to be removed, Dr. Warren can usually perform any needed extractions during the same procedure as the placement of your implants. His extractions are very gentle, and he will keep you comfortable at all times. He is very experienced in treating patients who have had bad dental experiences in the past.
Dr. Warren will gently place your implants during a single visit. He will make your visit as comfortable as possible by providing the level of sedation that best fits your needs and wishes. Dr. Warren uses a special electric hand tool to place your implants with great precision and accuracy. Electric handpieces are quiet and produce little vibration.
A certain amount of bone volume and density is necessary to support your implants. For patients who have experienced a great amount of bone loss, a bone graft procedure may be required. When needed, Dr. Warren will place a special bone graft material in your jaw to stimulate new bone tissue growth.
If your implants are located in a visible area where it could be noticed by others when you speak or smile, Dr. Warren will provide you with provisional teeth to keep your appearance attractive while your implants heal, a process that takes about eight weeks.
Dr. Warren will create your lifelike, aesthetic replacement teeth that blend in perfectly with the rest of your teeth, so that no one will know that you have one or more artificial teeth. Dr. Warren uses an excellent dental lab in Chicago, which he has meticulously selected for its skilled dental technicians. These craftsmen are truly artists, and they will make sure your new teeth are beautiful, durable, and simulate nature in every way. After your implants have healed and are fully integrated with your jawbone, Dr. Warren will place your final tooth restorations. Your new teeth will look, act, and feel just like natural teeth, and with proper at-home care and regular dental maintenance, they can last a lifetime.

Implants can be placed in adults whose dentition has fully erupted.
In the past, patients with compromised jawbones, or those who suffered from health conditions and poor oral habits, were considered poor candidates for dental implants. However, thanks to advancing techniques in bone grafting and implant-placement technology, most patients can now qualify for implants. Even diabetics, who were once excluded as candidates, are usually able to get implants.
Dr. Warren can examine you during a personal consultation and let you know if dental implants are an option for you.
